Moved to the Great White North last year and started as Assistant Professor of Environmental Engineering at the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada), doing wind energy-related research.

I am now transitioning to a leadership role for development of a line extension to this new knee platform product. In November of 2011, my wife and I move into a home in the historic district of Winona Lake, Indiana.

I graduated in 1998 from UCSD with a BS in Bioengineering, and immediately started at the Neurovascular division of Boston Scientific Corporation in Fremont, CA, where I worked for 7.5 years in the development of neuro endovascular medical devices. At the beginning of March of this year I started a new job at Hantel Technologies in Hayward, CA, which is a contract development and manufacturing company serving the medical device industry. As if that wasn't enough change, my wife Elisabeth just last week gave birth to our first child, Nathaniel, on Easter Sunday! Elisabeth also graduated from UCSD with a BS in Physiology and Neuroscience in 1999 and we married in Oakland in 2004. I've attached a picture of my son and I!

His family spent 10 relaxing days in Kauai to round out an otherwise busy summer. His 4 year old daughter Naia and 1 year old son Milan got to see sea turtles and monk seals come up to them right on the beach!

I am approaching the consulting engineering world from a modern viewpoint where "sticks-and-bricks" offices will give way to Wi-Fi networks and internet communication with clients. I am available to my clients through cell phone and email and nearly all aspects of the design process can be handled through the internet using software enhancements. It appears to be catching on. The future of engineering consulting is tele-commuting and not more cubicles.
