Welcome to COSMOS!

For many parents, sending their child away from home can create mixed emotions. The desire to provide an enriching and rewarding academic experience can be overshadowed by concerns for their child's health and safety.

COSMOS @ UC San Diego understands this concern and considers the well being of our students as our top priority. We will take every possible measure to ensure the heath and safety of our COSMOS students. The University of California, San Diego is a very safe and nurturing environment for young students to grow and learn. The campus has more than 20 years experience bringing high school students to reside in secured housing facilities as they participate in rigorous academic programs. Our trained staff will be available 24 hours a day to monitor, interact and support all COSMOS students.

We hope that you take some time to read the stories, provided on this website, of parents who sent their child to COSMOS at UC Santa Cruz. As you will see, many parents were surprised at the emotional and intellectual growth of their teenagers, and were relieved of most of their concerns.

Our goal is to provide the best academic experience to talented high school students in a safe, nurturing and supportive environment.
