Bioengineering Day 2015

BMES Team

Jessica Lam

Jessica Lam
BMES Co-Chair, BE Day 2015
Jessica is currently a third year Bioengineering: Biotechnology major. Although from Northern California, she has fallen in love with Southern California's beaches and year-round 70 degree weather. She loves trying new food, especially Japanese cuisine. Jessica's drive to be a Bioengineer has been mostly inspired by fellow classmates and the faculty at UCSD. She finds that the growth in the Bioengineering field over the years is motivating students and professionals to be more innovative and pursue greater heights. She can be emailed at jtl005@ucd.edu.

Swetha Prabhakaran
BMES Co-Chair, BE Day 2015
Swetha is a third year undergraduate Bioengineering: Biotechnology major. In her free time, she dabbles in the fine art of bad pun making and creating Game of Thrones conspiracy theories. What she thinks the field has to offer the general public? As Uncle Ben from Spiderman would say: "With great power comes great responsibility." She believes that bioengineers do a lot of really cool groundbreaking research, but also have this emerging responsibility to help people. That being said, feel free to contact her at swprabha@ucsd.edu.
