Cooperative Education (Co-op)

The Cooperative Education (Co-op) Program is an immersive work experience in which students are employed full-time by a company for up to six months*, which includes summer and one academic quarter, to supplement education with real-world experiences.

For the Summer 2019 Pilot program (Summer and Fall Quarter), participating departments include Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering. Certain academic qualifications apply**.

  3. Search for Co-op opportunities
  4. Fill out the appropriate department course plan form:

    Computer Science & Engineering Course Plan

    Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Course Plan

*Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Students must take courses during Summer Session 1 and therefore can participate in the co-op full-time for only 5 months, August-December 2019.
**Undergraduates only, minimum Junior Standing, 3.0 GPA, with rare exceptions. International Students must remain full-time students but can participate in the program full-time.
