Marye Anne Fox Appointed as Seventh Chancellor of UCSD
UC President Robert C. Dynes announced on April 12 that Marye Anne Fox has been appointed the seventh chancellor of UCSD. Fox, a distinguished chemist and academic leader, has served as chancellor of North Carolina State University since 1998 and previously was vice president for research at the University of Texas at Austin. A member of the National Academy of Sciences, Fox serves on President Bush's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology and co-chairs the National Research Council's Government-University-Industry Research Roundtable. She will join UCSD on August 16.
