Abstract
The pervasive sensing and scope of data promised by the Internet of Things is very promising, but raw health and environemental data collected is often obfuscated or difficult to interpret for an average citizen. Our overarching goal is to enable both citizens and researchers to collect localized environmental sensing data and draw actionable insights. To that end, we present a configurable, connected air quality sensing platform, as well as the supporting software backend. Our system will perform machine learning techniques combining this air quality data and other personal context to produce personalized real-time feedback on a user's local environment and its health impacts.
