Entrepreneur-in-Residence
A global executive, entrepreneur and mentor. Larry Morgan is passionate about building winning teams and companies in intensely competitive markets around the world. He has worked on five continents and lived in Singapore and the Netherlands for over 10 years.
After receiving his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Villanova University, Mr. Morgan forged a distinguished career with some of the leading IT, data and global telecommunications organizations. He successfully completed the Executive Management Program at the University of Southern California (USC) before moving overseas where he led many corporate expansion initiatives and built new multi-million dollar businesses around the world.
Mr. Morgan is comfortable wearing many different hats. He has succeeded as President and CEO for a number of multinational companies and start-ups; and served on Boards from the US to Thailand to Luxembourg. He enjoyed turning around underperforming businesses by driving sales, reducing expenses and providing outstanding customer service. He has been part of divestitures and IPO’s valued at almost $2 Billion.
Mr. Morgan is currently the Entrepreneur in Residence for UC San Diego and a member of the Investment Committee for the Triton Fund. He also shares his time as an investor, board member, coach and mentor to students and executives domestically and internationally.
Throughout his career Larry Morgan has demonstrated the ability to work effectively in many cultures. His proven track record, strong people skills and business acumen combined with his creativity and innovation have enabled him to consistently build shareholder value. He has frequently presented at conferences and provided insightful commentary to the Research Board and CNBC television.
He makes his home in Southern California where he lives with his wife and daughter.
