The EnVision Maker Studio team plans to offer workshops focused on empowering students to make the most of the facilities.
“Our workshops will be especially useful for visual artists and engineering undergraduates who want to learn to use design software, prototyping tools and circuitry to make their work more interactive,” said DeWald, EnVision Maker Studio staff director.

Past Envision Workshops
EnVision offers a variety of workshops throughout the quarter, catering to all sorts of interests. Students can not only learn how to use complex tools, but meet others who have a passion for invention and innovation as well. Here are workshops we've done in the past!
Clothing Repair Workshop!!
We've all experienced our favorite pieces of clothing getting caught on something and tearing. And with clothes being so expensive, buying new clothes can be such a chore. But fear not, there is still hope! Envision taught students how to properly use a sewing machine to repair their clothes. This way, students could wear their favorite clothes, if even for just a little bit longer.
Mask Workshop!!
Ever wanted to cosplay as your favorite masked character, while adding your own personal flair to the costume? Well now you can! With Envision's vacuum former and painting section, students had a great time learning how to make their own custom masks and bonding over their favorite characters.
Sticker Workshop!!
With the help of our trusty vinyl cutter, students were able to make their own stickers! Whether they were an artist looking to bring their drawings to life or someone who wanted to see their favorite manga panel on their water bottle, people had a great time learning the vinyl cutter and admiring each other's art and stickers
Red Pitaya Workshop!!
Building your own electronics can be an overwhelming task, where you may not even know where to start. Well, Envision was able to empower students through our Red Pitaya Workshop, where students were able to build their own custom keyboards, speakers, and other neat devices! Students were able to think of innovative designs and truly let their creativity shine!
