Director

About:

Hello! As a former transfer student, I understand the commitment we make, and tenacity we show, when pursuing our academic and career goals. My personal academic journey catapulted me into the field of higher education, where I became a fierce advocate for underserved students transitioning to a university, as well as a counselor and supporter for those experiencing academic difficulty. Within my career, I've had the pleasure of working closely with engineering students who are considered underrepresented in the field, transfer students, students on academic probation. Within my role as the Director of the IDEA Center, I have the fortune of leading an incredible team to create and implement programs and services which help students achieve their academic, personal, and professional goals.

When I'm not working, I can usually be found binge watching television with my cats, crafting, being a foodie, cooking, or going to the beach.

Connect with me if you have questions about:

  • Strategies for supporting engineering students academically, personally, or professionally
  • Goal setting for the IDEA Center
  • Research-informed practices for engineering student success, transfer student success, and navigating academic difficulty
  • Supporting and giving back to the IDEA Center
  • New recipes and the Below Deck franchise (guilty pleasure)
