Student Organization Diversity Equity and Inclusion Requirements
All of UC San Diego’s recognized and engineering student organizations must complete these implemented requirements in order to be eligible for funding through the Jacobs School of Engineering.
K-14 Outreach
Engineering Student organizations that work towards increasing K-14 student knowledge and awareness of engineering through various outreach programs and events that they organize throughout the year.
Project Spaces and Rooms
Jacobs School Project Space
Jacobs School Student Project Spaces are administered by the IDEA Engineering Student Center to provide student organizations and project teams with physical space to plan, build, and test their projects.

Funding for Project Teams, Attendance to Conference or Competitions
Student Matching Funds
Engineering student organizations participating in select project-based competitions may apply for this program, which will match funds raised by the student organization and will be considered by a selection committee for matching on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
Student Travel Funds
The Student Travel Fund provides financial support and funding for students attending conferences and competitions. Funds can be awarded for individual students for a variety of travel-related expenses, such as traveling, hotel costs, and conference fees.
Triton Tournament/Competition Fund
Funding for registered student organizations participating in conferences, tournaments, competitions or similar activities in the contiguous United States, Alaska, and Hawaii.
A.S. Tournament and Competition Fund
Tournament and Competition funds are made available to student organizations looking to participate in tournaments and competitions outside of UC San Diego.
ECE Travel Fund
The ECE Department offers a travel fund to current ECE undergraduate students who are either presenting at an engineering-related conference or competing at an engineering-related competition.
