Jacobs School Project Space

Jacobs School Student Project Spaces are administered by the IDEA Engineering Student Center under the supervision of the Jacobs School of Engineering Dean’s Office.  Project Spaces are allocated by the Jacobs School of Engineering to provide student organizations and project teams with physical space to plan, build, and test their projects.  

Apply for Project Space

We invite engineering student organizations to apply for project space where they can plan, build and test their projects during the academic year. The application form will provide you with an opportunity to inform us of the type of project/s your group is currently working on, your project space needs, and your organization’s goals for the academic year. Applications will be reviewed by a committee of student leaders, faculty, and staff.

Project Space Timeline

Mid-February to Mid-April: Application Open
Late April to Early May: Applications Reviewed
Mid to Late May: Applicants Notified
End of June: Current Occupants Move-out
August: New Occupants Move-in

Apply to be on the Project Space Selection Committee

We invite student leaders to apply to be on the Project Space Selection Committee. This committee will be responsible for deciding the allocation of project space to student organizations that submit an application. 

The selection committee will include 1-2 student organization representatives.
