Introduction to AI using MATLAB
Are you new to machine learning and deep learning? Do you want to learn how to apply these techniques in your work?
In this introductory seminar, you will learn how to apply machine learning and deep learning to images and signals. You’ll see how MATLAB® provides an environment to apply advanced techniques without requiring coding or experience in machine learning and deep learning. You will also:
•Learn the fundamentals of machine learning and understand terms like “supervised learning”, “feature extraction”, and “feature selection”
•Build and evaluate machine learning models based on images and signals
•Learn the fundamentals of deep learning and understand terms like “layers”, “networks”, and “hyperparameter tuning”
•Build and evaluate deep neural networks for images and signals
•Understand the difference between both techniques and their use cases
Events Calendar
The IDEA Engineering Student Center offers are a series of academic, professional and technical skill-building events open to all undergraduate engineering students at the Jacobs School of Engineering. See calendar for upcoming events.
Engineering Community Hour
Engineering Community Hour is a monthly informal discussion hour for engineering students. This is an opportunity for students to connect with and engage in a small group conversation with engineering faculty and professionals in a supportive environment about topics of interest.
Jacobs School Ring Ceremony
Graduating undergraduate students of the Jacobs School of Engineering are invited to attend the annual Ring Ceremony. At this event, graduating engineers will recite the graduation oath to express their commitment to upholding standards of ethics, integrity, and quality as practicing engineers and as graduates of the Jacobs School of Engineering.
