GEAR is a year-long research apprenticeship program for second year students and incoming transfer students. As a GEAR Research Apprentice, you will work with a teammate on a research project within a Jacobs School of Engineering faculty research lab. In this program you will participate in a variety of experiences which build your skillsets for research and the professional world.

"JUMP Mentorship banner"  The IDEA Center offers mentorship programs, with involvement from undergraduates, transfer students, and graduate students. JUMP is a community of engineering students (both undergraduate and graduate) and alumni, who provide support, advice, guidance, and experience to all members. TEAM pairs incoming transfer engineering students in the Jacobs School of Engineering with upperclassmen transfer students.
