“This scholarship helped fund 33 UCSD undergraduate chemical engineers to the Regional AIChE Conference Car Competition, which was hosted by UC Davis - 9 hours away from San Diego. At the conference, ChemE Car was able to network with other collegiate chemical engineers and learn more about start-ups. There was an amazing speaker by a CEO of his own start-up company, and he was giving a lot of advice on how to start your own company. A member of our party competed in the undergraduate research competition and won 2nd place; he competed against 2 Stanford undergraduates. And lastly, our ChemE Car "Tritonium" competed in the regional conference, placing 6th overall!”
