Operations and Events Coordinator
About:
I began work with the IDEA Engineering Student Center in October 2022 and I am very excited to join the team. I was born and raised in San Diego, California and my mother is a laser sciences engineer with an MA from SDSU. She has taught me that women can excel in STEM and other professions. After I graduated Summa Cum Laude at SDSU with a B.A. in Communication in 2013, my career has been mainly in higher education. The IDEA Center’s focus on diversity and inclusion aligns with my personal values of acceptance for all. I provide administrative, logistic, and fiscal support for the IDEA Engineering Student Center's programs and activities. I oversee the IDEA Center's communications, office operations and courses. I coordinate the Student Travel Fund, Transfer Prep, Welcome Week Engineering Fair, and Ring Ceremony. Some of my favorite pastimes are spending time with friends, family and my two cats (Lucie and Ciri), hiking & camping, watercolor painting, and participating in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA.org).
