COSMOS

The California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science (COSMOS) is a 4-week residential summer program that is open to California high school students who have demonstrated an interest and achievement in math and science. This intensive experience is intended to encourage the brightest and most promising young people to continue their education in these fields. COSMOS provides students with an unparalleled opportunity to work side-by-side with outstanding researchers and university faculty, covering topics that extend beyond the typical high school curriculum. COSMOS at UCSD is administered through the Jacobs School of Engineering and places a strong emphasis on technology and engineering, in addition to mathematics and science.

The online application period for COSMOS begins mid-January and runs through mid-March of the application year. Learn More
