IDEA Engineering Student Center

Inclusion. Diversity. Excellence. Achievement. The IDEA Engineering Student Center strives to foster an inclusive and welcoming community, increase retention and graduation rates, and promote a sustainable culture of academic excellence among all engineering students at UC San Diego. The IDEA Center runs a variety of mentorship, academic support and introductory research programs for students.

Between our EnVision Arts and Engineering Maker Space, the Electrical and Computer Engineering Maker Space, the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering lab facilities and brand new student facilities in Franklin Antonio Hall, you'll have access to any tools you need to bring your ideas to life.

UC San Diego is proud to have spun out more than 750 affiliated startups. Our Institute for the Global Entrepreneur is here to support students as they bring their own ideas to the market, or find ways to leverage their talents on existing startup teams.
