The Jacobs School is building a cross-section of culture-building programs and activities aimed at achieving equity for all students, faculty and staff at the Jacobs School of Engineering, including the Jacobs School Research Ethics Initiative, and the Anthropology, Performance, and Technology Program (APT). Learn more about our diversity initiatives, including our Student and Faculty Racial Equity Task Force and diversity student organizations, on our Diversity page.
Research Ethics Initiative
The goal of the Research Ethics Initiative is to build on an NSF-funded project at the Jacobs School in order to create sustainable opportunities for important ethical conversations to occur. It is intended to initiate conversations about ethics and education, research, and application in engineering.
Anthropology, Performance, and Technology Program
The Anthropology, Performance, and Technology (APT) program at the Jacobs School of Engineering aims to empower a new generation of socially-engaged, culturally relevant, and artistically as well as scientifically and technically creative engineers. The underlying goal is to provide our students with new and different opportunities to explore and process their technical educations.
