Security and Parking
UC San Diego has implemented a clear bag policy for Commencement weekend to enhance public safety and streamline the screening and entry process. This policy restricts the size and types of bags allowed.
Bags must be clear plastic or clear vinyl and may not exceed 12" x 12" x 20" or a one-gallon clear plastic zipper bag. Small bags, clutches, or wallets no larger than 4.5" x 6.5" will be allowed.
- All approved bags are subject to inspection upon entry.
- Guests are encouraged to keep items visible for a quicker process.
- Policy does not restrict essential items such as keys, makeup, phones, and wallets, which guests can carry in their pockets.
- Anyone with prohibited items will be required to return them to their vehicle, place them in a rental locker, or dispose of them at the gate.

PARKING
- Complimentary parking is available June 14-16.
- Follow signage and traffic management personnel to the best available parking.
- For Rimac Field ceremonies, you will proceed on foot to the security entrance in Lot P357, near Rady School of Management.
- Reminder to please refer to the prohibited items page to ensure security clearance. Otherwise you will be sent back to your car or will need to rent a secure locker.
