San Diego, Calif., October 28, 2019 -- The UC San Diego Contextual Robotics Institute is organizing its sixth annual robotics forum on Thursday, November 7, showcasing the breadth and depth of the San Diego region’s expertise in robotics. Register for the Forum here.

“San Diego is a hub of robotics research and development—from autonomy, to hardware and software, data science and artificial intelligence, we have researchers and companies in San Diego advancing the state of the art,” said Henrik Christensen, director of the Contextual Robotics Institute. “If the Bay area is Silicon Valley, then San Diego is Robot Valley, or maybe more appropriately Robot Beach. We’re gathering the regional robotics ecosystem to highlight the many ways in which San Diego’s robotics community is leading the charge.”

The day-long San Diego Robotics Forum program features presentations and panel discussions on robots for empowering people; drones for security and defense; autonomy in transportation; and artificial intelligence at the edge. Technology demonstrations from UC San Diego’s Contextual Robotics Institute, as well as regional companies both large and small, will also be on display.

Join us as we continue to grow the regional robotics ecosystem and solidify San Diego’s rightful claim to Robot Beach.
