UC San Diego Earns Two CVPR Young Researcher Awards

Congratulations to UC San Diego computer science professor Hao Su and to UC San Diego computer science alumnus Saining Xie (former UC San Diego computer science student Ph.D. advised by Zhuowen Tu) for receiving the Young Researcher Awards at the IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) 2025. These are prestigious early career awards from the premier computer vision conference. 

Both Hao Su and Zhuowen Tu are UC San Diego faculty members of the Center for Visual Computing at the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering. 

Su is a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Tu is a faculty member in the UC San Diego Department of Cognitive Science and an affiliate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
