“We have taken actions to ensure that everyone feels safe and welcome,” said UC San Diego Chancellor Marye Anne Fox. In addition, by introducing new admissions programs and other outreach tools allowable within the constraints of the laws of the state of California, we hope to encourage more first-generation and underrepresented students to enroll. These actions complement activities already underway that build on UC San Diego’s overall commitment to increasing diversity on campus.”

Members of the senior leadership team at UC San Diego are working closely with students and faculty to forge a way forward. Together, they have defined common goals and actions that will enhance diversity on the campus and in the curriculum.
