Yuanyuan (YY) Zhou is a Qualcomm Chair Professor at University of California, San Diego, where she joined since 2009. Prior to UCSD, she was working at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign as a faculty from 2002 to 2009.
Capsule Bio:
Before UIUC, Zhou worked at NEC Lab as a scientist and co-founded a storage startup from 2000 to 2002. She obtained her Ph.D from Princeton University under the guidance of Kai Li and Douclas Clark. She was the recipient for the Alfred Sloan Fellowship 2007, UIUC Gear Faculty Award 2006, NSF Career-2004 award, the CRA-W Anita-Borg Early Career Award 2005, the DOE Early Career Principle Investigator Award 2005, the IBM Faculty Award 2004 & 2005, and the IBM SUR-2003 award.
