Davidson studies the engineering implications and institutional conflicts inherent in deploying low-carbon energy at scale. His work combines power systems optimization, renewable resources assessment, and methods from the social sciences to create feasible pathways for infrastructure transititions.

Capsule Bio:
Davidson served as a postdoctoral research fellow athe Harvard Kennedy School before joining UC San Diego in 2019. He earned a Ph.D. from MIT. In addition to the Jacobs School, he holds an appointment at the School of Global Policy and Strategy at UC San Diego.
