Amy Ousterhout

Operating systems and networks

Ousterhout's research focuses on operating systems and networks in datacenters. Her work aims to reduce the CPU consumption of datacenter applications without degrading their performance, by developing more efficient network stacks and scheduling policies, and offloading tasks to hardware.

Capsule Bio:

Before joining UC San Diego in 2022, Ousterhout was a postdoctoral researcher at UC Berkeley. She earned her Ph.D. at MIT.
